HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE DURING THE LOCKDOWN.

Being productive during the lockdown period is hard. You wake up in the morning feeling already unmotivated and by the time you blink an eye it is already evening, and you haven’t done anything. I don’t know how many day’s I have already wasted without doing anything but after days and days of struggling, I have found the secret of how to be productive during the lockdown period.

Being productive helps you evolve, and it teaches you to continuously push yourself. You will become the better you and after a while you will learn to do more with your time. You will never feel like you don’t have enough time and you won’t procrastinate.

HOW TO BE PRODUCTIVE DURING THE LOCKDOWN.

1.Write It Down.

Planning always helps me stay productive. I always write down the tasks I must do for the day so that it stands as a reminder for me. Funny enough it is so easy to forget what you had to do in a blink of an eye. What I do is write down everything I want to do for the day and work at tackling those tasks.

Whenever you do this though make sure not to overwhelm your brain by writing too many things. I prefer to list my tasks so that it doesn’t look too overwhelming.

Make sure that your order your tasks by importance and try keep your list as short as possible. This will give you the impression that it’s not going to be too bad and motivate you to complete your tasks.

2. Do Your Most Dreaded Task First.

The trick to getting things done is to start with the hardest task. I don’t know how many times I decided I was no longer going to be productive because there was something on the list that I didn’t want to do. I have now realized though that it is so much easier to start with the dreaded task first because once you get it done comes the easier tasks. You’ll also feel much lighter after this task is done.

Hard or dreadful tasks can sometimes also be time consuming, you end up taking the whole day trying to do one thing when you could have completed 4 other tasks. At the end of the day you haven’t done anything and you’re still at point 0.

So, the next time you have a few things to do use this tip and you’ll say thank you later.

3. Turn off Distractions.

Most times when I ask myself why I couldn’t do a set task the answer is because I was distracted. Sometimes I don’t even notice how distracted I have been until there’s no more time to do the set task.

What is a distraction?

A distraction is something that prevents you from concentrating on something else. This can be anything from your cellphone, noise, the people around you and sometimes even your own thoughts. Distractions are terrible because sometimes you don’t even notice how distracted you are until you see the sunset.

Something that I have learnt to do over this lockdown period is to put away everything that distracts me. I try to move away from things that have the potential to distract me. For example, my cellphone always distracts me so what I do when I want to be productive is either put my cellphone on silent or away from the area I am working at.

4.Take Breaks.

I can’t emphasize how important it is to take breaks. You should never think that you will be productive by over working yourself because you won’t. If you want to be productive you need to be smart about planning your time and make sure that you give yourself a rest whenever you need to.

I take many short breaks while trying to tackle a task and this is not because I don’t want to finish but because I don’t want to end up tackling the task poorly. Taking breaks will boost your brain functionality and decrease mental fatigue meaning that you will do your best. So next time when you’re trying to be productive don’t forget to give yourself some rest.

Things to do when you are taking a break.

  • Drink some water.
  • Walk around the house.
  • Make some food.
  • Dance.

5. Progress, not perfection.

Change your mindset and stop trying to complete a lot of things at once. If you wanted to do 3 things for the day and you were able to complete 2 celebrate that! The fact that you were able to wake up and do something is something to be happy about. Tomorrow aim at doing

Progress, not perfection has been my motto for some time now. I feel that we always focus on being perfect and doing things right the first time, but we should be giving our self a pat in the back for that one extra thing we were able to do. Focus on your progress and eventually you will be where you want to be.

This will also keep you motivated, and you’ll feel excited to do the next thing.

That is How to be productive during the lockdown period.

Being in such difficult times with the pandemic can easily put you off the rail and make you uninterested in anything so it is up to you to lift yourself up and get things done. I encourage you to stay positive and stay productive so that you can have something to look at after the lockdown.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope that this post was beneficial to you. Please leave a comment on how you stay productive during this pandemic.

2018 NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS.

Hey gorgeous how are you doing?! Before anything else I would love to wish you a happy new year and wish you all the best in everything you do. 2017 like any other year had its up and downs but for me 2017 had more downs than there was ups that I feel like I’m happy to be in 2018! Today I would like us to talk about new year resolutions and what we are going to achieve in the new year.

Self love
I preach so much about self love and self appreciation but I still think it’s not enough. I need to be in a year where I can literally do anything with my body  and not be judged for it and without me thinking twice about my decision. I need to be at a point where I can love myself unconditionally and be content with the person that I am.

Recognition
People are sleeping on your girl too much and it’s time we woke up! This year I would love to do more collaborations with different creative people, make new friendships as well as get more recognition from companies so that I can start pushing a word. This 2018 I would like to enter into a new chapter in terms of my influence and broaden my voice.

Experience things.
I’m mostly known for shying away from doing things because I’m always pulling out and feeling scared but this year I really wanna push my limits and try out new things. I would like to go to different places, try different types of food and make memories.

Make relationships.
Now if you know me I hardly ever entertain any sort of relationship whatsoever ending in me being all alone and not doing anything. Which there’s nothing wrong with but for 2018 I’d really love to meet new people and create all sorts of different bonds and just be a free person. I know people like taking advantage and that I’m not going to always make the right bond but this year I’m really just going to let God protect me in all the things that I do.

Exercise.

I used to be a workout junkie and would never go through a week without excising more than 4 times a week but that sort of fell out last year when I was working in retail and didn’t have enough time so this year I would really love to get back into routine and start excising again.

Do significant things
Last but not least for 2018 I wanna do things that have significance. What I mean is I wanna do significant things that I can see and that make a difference in y life. I wanna start helping out my family more and just enhancing our quality of life.

Yes guys so those are my goals for 2018 and hopefully by God’s grace I am going to achieve them. I am going to be working much harder this year and focusing on the things that mean the most to me like my creative life..What are your goals for 2018? Please leave them down in the comments section below and lets start up a conversation.

HOW TO ROCK YELLOW THIS SUMMER.

If there is a colour for summer 2017 then the colour has to be yellow. Everyone has been wearing the colour in so many different shades that not only have I been jealous but I had to write a post about it. Generally, I’m not a huge fan of the colour but yellow radiates beautifully on all skin tones and is a MUST have. Here are different ways to style the colour.

Formally

Just because yellow is a bright, happy colour doesn’t mean it can’t walk into the office/formal place.Formal doesn’t have a specific colour so rock your formal outfits and make sure they are yellow. You can also spice things up by adding some cool accessories.

Casually

The easiest way to rock this colour will have to be the casual way. What I love about casual outfits is that they are relaxed and define you when you are chilled down. To rock the colour yellow casually you can basically put a shirt and some sweatpants on and you’re good to go. If you are feeling a little freaky you can even add some leggings!

The baddie way

No one Rocks it like a baddie! To style your yellow outfits the baddie way you can colour coordinate any yellow pieces together and add accessories here and there to give your outfit that glow.  The main ingredient to a baddie outfit is the confidence,  so add some confidence to the mix and you’re good to go!

The elegant way

This way is more for if you’d like to be dressy and classy and is great if you are going out somewhere with some special people. Styling the colour yellow elegantly is also great because the colour will enhance your skin tone and will also give you that summer glow. Elegant pieces you can use are dresses and skirts!

Accessorize with the colour yellow.

If you don’t want to go all in with the mix matching and wearing a lot of yellow then you can wear the colour by using a touch of it in your accessories.  Here are a few examples.

That’s how easy it is to style the colour yellow.! I hope that these tips will help you rock the summer 2017 trend with the most stylish looks. Happy Styling!

4 TRENDS TO ROCK THIS SUMMER.

Summer has got to be the season for fashion.!! With beautiful skin tones and being able to show off some skin, what is there not to love?! Today I will be sharing with you 4 trends to make sure you slay this summer.

1. Culottes

Culottes have been my favourite type of pants since over-sized denim jeans were the ish. However, I did not like how oversized denim jeans looked on me so I chose the next best thing.  I feel like culottes can turn an outfit from a basic to an A without even trying! The more reason I like them is that they look good on every body type and they can be dressed up or down depending on what you pair them up with.

2. Over the shoulder dresses and shirts.

What is summer without skirts and dresses?  For this summer showing off your shoulders is the in thing! What I love about over the shoulder dresses and shirts is that they are very cool pieces to wear as they bring in some fresh air. An add-on to them being great is that you can move these pieces from a summery casual outfit to a formal evening outfit with just what you wear the pieces with.

3. Skaters

Skaters have been the in thing since I can remember and for them to be coming back is doing some of us a favour.  If you are in a workspace or you’d love to look put together then I do recommend skaters because they look amazing! You can pair them up with some cool jackets. bodysuits or even off the shoulder shirts.

4. Block heel sandals

Now, who doesn’t love to look sexy but at the same time comfortable?!  Block heels are the in thing at the moment as they make sure you look good but at the same time, your feet aren’t paining. You can get these literally anywhere in all colours and styles so get yourself a pair. What I love about block heel sandals is that you can pair them up with any outfit from casual to formal and you would still look great.

Those are the 4 trendy pieces you should rock this summer. If you do like this post please give it a like and don’t forget to follow if this is your first time visiting. Mwah xo

ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY IN PLACE FOUNDATION REVIEW. +VIDEO

19388714_1941015292845125_5112990277660859382_o.jpg

Hey guys welcome right back!! Today I will be reviewing the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Foundation. I bought this foundation last year(2016) when I thought I would be doing my own makeup for prom and to say I am more than impressed is an understatement. This foundation has allowed more and more room for improvement for my foundation skills and has always got me looking like a doll at all times.

The foundation is truly full coverage that just a little bit goes a long way which also means saving a whole lot of product and it is light weight that your faces completely feels like there is nothing on your face. Unlike other foundations you wont feel like there is an extra layer on your face. I also love the fact that it has no texture. Your face still feels the same but a little more smoother.

The foundation does in some occasions oxidize  as well as transfer but its not something that is a huge problem because a little powder can easily solve that. I love that in its natural state the foundation is matte and gives off that natural look, non-oily look. The foundation does have SPF 10 which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. The advantage would be that the foundation will protect your skin from the sun and the disadvantage is that your pictures will have some flash back when there is flash involved however because it is only SPF 10 the flashback is not that much.

However the foundation is really great. It lasts the whole day and no problem with it moving around and starting to crease. I bought my foundation for R550 at Edgars which can be a little pricey but for the amount of time the foundation lasted, I am not complaining.

So overall I would recommend the foundation especially to people who want that full coverage flawless looking finish. The foundation will not disappoint and will honestly give the best looks.
